The recent G7 rejection of Libra does not seem to have stopped them.
The Libra Association, which oversees the Libra crypto currency, has chosen a chief financial officer and a risk manager for the project.
Ian Jenkins, who promotes the expertise of HSBC, Santander and Credit Suisse, will oversee the finance and risk management of the Libra Network, according to an announcement on 15 October.
The news comes just days after the multi-government G7 group explained that the project needed appropriate regulatory measures before it was launched.
„The G7 continues to argue that no global stable currency project should begin operations until it adequately addresses relevant legal, regulatory and supervisory requirements through appropriate design and adherence to applicable standards,“ said a draft of the G7’s concerns.
